TOXIC
FROG
(formerly
TOXIC FOG, DISRUPT & KAT>DNA)
Welcome
to the Church of the Toxic Frog
Relinquish
the heathen's lies and prepare thyself to recieve the ultimate enlightenment.
We are the blessed disciples, acolytes of the mighty one whom moveth over
the slime. Entrusted to us is the divine message that issues from the lips
of the cold ones. We are the chosen few lying prostrate at the feet of
the Great Newt.
Two
is our number yet diligently we set about the cherished task with great
joy. Alloted to us is the blessed quest to indoctrinate the pagan masses
to the word of the webbed one.
Many
gifts have we to aid us in our time of labour. Not least among these is
the arsenal of Thrashy Pop sounds, fashioned in his likeness and dedicated
to the green one himself. Equipped with instuments of musical destruction,
appropriated from the godless heathen we open your ears and transform your
minds.
We
will find you all soon as your souls will be the flames that burn eternally
in the Temple of the Frog.

'Biography'
Our
story begins with Jon, illegitimate son of a transylvanian countess and
a
swedish porn star. After a miraculous escape from a plane crash over
the Gobi Desert, he used the wreckage of the aircraft to cunningly construct
his own bass guitar. He passed the long days wandering aimlessly
through the wilderness, plucking his bass and grazing on the hallucinogenic
mushrooms in the area.
One
day he chanced upon a ruined temple and searching through the rubble found
a magic lamp containing the psychotic desert fairy Sophitia, whose many
years of captivity had left her slightly unhinged. The two of them
decided to form a thrash pop punk super group, so promptly they set off
west to seek their fortune. Across mountains, jungles and barren
wilderness they travelled, with Jon accompanying Sophitia's eternal warbling
with his own brand of quirky bass excitement. Thus they made their
way across the globe until the third member of this unlikely alliance was
found unexpectedly in a gas station north of Wabbanakoogoo, south west
Australia. Guitarist Ben (funky purveyor of the world's finest sonic splendour)
was a free gift on a special offer with a leading brand of breakfast cereal.
After the formalities were taken care of, Ben was only too happy to join
the duo on their crusade to subvert the universe. Unfortunately,
the bionic trio was still without any dynamic rhythmic action, and following
numerous misguided encounters with other limp stick operators they began
to give up hope. However, unknown to our heroes, their future selves were
observing the punktastic three from afar, and aided their plight by sending
a T2000 series bionic beat generator back in time to complete the group.
Coming across the aformentioned cyborg, Matt (Wooley), in a darkened multi-story
car park in Bristol, the immortal quartet began their shiny popmungus assault
on the unsuspecting western civilization.
Disrupt
have appeared in many local venues and dives, and supported 'JOURNEY'S
END' at the legendary 'Fiddlers' gig on 11th December 97. More recently
they played a most excellent gig at The Fleece, Bristol in March '99, followed
by a stunning performance at the Axiom, Cheltenham in April '99.
They went into Nam Studio's, Wiltshire in May '99 to record two new tunes.
Unfortunately
following the recording sessions, the T2000 series bionic beat generator
(Matt) was snatched back into the future to complete the line up of a futuristic
revolutionary super group.
